Wetlands Preservation, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm specializing in wetland delineation, resource area evaluations, wildlife habitat evaluations, rare species studies, impact mitigation, construction monitoring, and permitting in New England. The firm has a position open for an experienced Senior Wetland/Soils Scientist. Candidates should have a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in botany, soils, geology, forestry, wildlife biology or marine or freshwater ecology with at least 6 years experience in wetland delineation, habitat evaluation, impact assessment and mitigation, and wetland permitting.
Position will involve delineation of state and federal wetlands, evaluation of wetland functions and values, preparation of site evaluation reports and permit applications. Other activities will be focused on the successful applicants’ background and interests. Familiarity with Massachusetts and other New England local, state, and federal wetland regulations is essential. Advanced degree(s) in an applicable field is desirable. Applicant should have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to address environmental issues. Strong computer skills are essential. Salary commensurate with experience. Candidates should be certified or capable of being certified as a Wetland Scientist or Soils Scientist.

The firm has a position open for an Entry to . Candidates should have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in biological science, soils science or a related field. Candidate should have 2-5 years experience in federal and state wetland delineation and should be comfortable using soils for delineation.
Position involves delineation of state and federal wetlands, wetland and wildlife habitat assessments, development of wetland restoration/replication programs and erosion control programs, and preparation of local, state, and federal permit applications. Construction monitoring experience helpful. Computer proficiency and excellent written and oral communication skills required

The Alexandria Conservation Commission (ACC) is seeking proposals from qualified natural resource consultants to assist the commission in preparation of a Natural Resource Inventory (NRI) of the town of Alexandria, NH. This project will involve working with the ACC to develop maps, data and a written report. The NRI will cover the following topics: Overview, Water Resources, Land Resources, Open Space, and Biodiversity of Plants and Animals. It will include data, maps, and photographs to accompany a narrative regarding each topic. The Commission seeks assistance, at minimum, with Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis; additional assistance may be contracted, depending on budgetary limits, for field work and preparation of the final report. Please provide price estimates for each item included in section A, Scope of Work.
